Privacy policy

This website is operated by UltraDAO Studios, LLC ("Woodies", "we"). We built it to work with as little of your data as possible — this page explains exactly what we touch and why.

Wallet addresses

When you connect a wallet, the site receives your public wallet address. We use it to verify Woodie ownership for holder features: 3D model downloads, story minting, and signing in to the Lantern Trail game. Ownership checks may ask you to sign a message; a signature proves control of the address and costs nothing. We never take custody of funds, and we will never ask for your seed phrase or private keys — anyone who does is not us.

Public blockchain data

Woodie ownership, transfer history, provenance, and minted stories are read from the public Ethereum blockchain and third-party indexers (such as Alchemy and OpenSea). That data is public by nature and is displayed on pages like the gallery, community profiles, and each Woodie's provenance view.

Stories you mint

If you write and mint a story for a Woodie, the story text is stored in our database along with the Woodie's token id and your wallet address, and its hash is committed on-chain. Minted stories are public and shown on the Woodie's page.

Cookies and tracking

The site uses only the storage that wallet-connection libraries need to remember your session in your own browser. We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

Third parties

The site is hosted on Vercel, and holder features rely on blockchain infrastructure providers (Alchemy, OpenSea, WalletConnect/Reown). Requests you make to those features pass through their systems under their own privacy policies.

Anything unclear, or want data connected to your wallet address removed from our story database? Reach us through the channels on the contact page — Discord is fastest. On-chain records are permanent by design and cannot be deleted by anyone, including us.
